Complete Titanium centre drive shaft and spool set.

This shaft set is designed to be a drop it fit to our latest VTE2 Full length chassis, and our latest servo mount top deck brace. Other carbon chassis and braces can be used but extra holes for the front support will need to be drilled.

Following several years of speed running at the highest level, we're excited to release what we feel is the very best center drive shaft set available for speed cars

The Pinocchio spool set has taken the fastest speed runners reliably into the 190+mph zone, but vibration and bearing life at these speeds has been a challenge requiring constant maintenance.

This new triple bearing arrangement re-writes the dynamics of the centre drive system. The longest ever spool, carefully optimised, is supported by three bearings eliminating vibration and flex under load. The front and rear shafts are super short 96mm titanium shafts. This very short shaft length runs totally smoothly giving bearings an easy life.

We have been testing this arrangement through the 2024 season with fantastic results, running multiple speed run events without requiring any bearing changes.

Our renown titanium dog bone shafts have been proved over and over again to be the most robust solution on the market. These are fully machined shafts with the main diameter tuned to 7mm diameter to optimise weight and fit. Our specially sourced pins are top quality hardened carbon steel, not just stock dowels or poorly hardened parts. A highly developed and long proven product. We've never seen a broken one yet!

The spool is supplied with a 7 PIECE spacer set, including 0.5 and 0.2mm shims for a perfect fit on any spur gear
