Following popular demand, we have a Hobao Rear diff locker with hardened steel through shaft. This shaft is 6mm thick, made of a steel alloy we've come to use in these demanding applications. The shaft is unbreakable, and suited for all drag and speed applications.
This lightweight diff locker eliminates the internal diff gears and wobbly out drives. A steel through shaft takes all the load, straight from the re-used stock ring gear through to the shafts. No more broken diff pins!
****Due to the wider package of the locker, shorter rear axle shafts are required, and a pair of titanium axles are NOT INCLUDED in this kit - please see the ‘kit’ option that includes these****
This locker is suitable for use with our Arrma diff housings, allowing Hobao gear sets to be used on an Arrma.
Comes complete with a pair of hybrid ceramic bearings (Rubber seals)
This will not work as a front locker, due to the different axle shafts required. Our ordinary Hobao Diff Locker can be used in the front. We may release special short front axles at some point, if there is demand.
Ring gear NOT included.
This is an EXPERT LEVEL upgrade. Please be aware that fully locking diffs is a specialist thing to do and we cannot guarantee against problems being encountered with other components. Big power can break the strongest parts.
Like other drive components, these require degreasing and plenty of high strength loctite (including on the drive cup bore) and allowed to cure for 24 hours if you want them to stay together. Please read the spec of the loctite you use. Loctite 271 is our preferred choice.
Our bearings have been pre-oiled by our supplier. The oil is a little thick for our liking. Many will de-grease and re-oil with light oil for ultimate free running, ultra speed performance.
