Product Description
1:16 Scale U.S. Medium Tank M4A3 Sherman RC Tank
Relive the legacy of the most iconic American tank of the Second World War with this 1:16 scale M4A3 Sherman RC tank. Outfitted with the latest TK7.0 multi-function control board (MFCB), this model offers smooth proportional acceleration, steering, turret traverse and cannon elevation or depression, delivering a highly realistic and rewarding experience for RC tank enthusiasts.
With fully programmable radio settings, users can customise recoil intensity, turning sensitivity, acceleration response and switch between high or low speed modes. The omnidirectional proportional control ensures fine-tuned handling across all terrain types, making this model a versatile performer in both display and battle scenarios.
Designed for durability, the Sherman includes extremely durable metal tracks, sprocket and idler that are easy to maintain. Independent suspension on all road wheels, paired with a steel-geared gearbox, ensures reliable power transfer and traction on rough surfaces.
For immersive battlefield realism, the tank features programmable track recoil with three settings to simulate the recoil motion of cannon fire. Four distinct sound sets replicate engine start-up, idle, acceleration, turret movement, elevation, machine gun fire, cannon blasts and shutdown. Volume can be adjusted across five levels, while the functional smoke unit generates a glycerin-based exhaust effect for enhanced realism.
Combat features include a 6mm plastic BB firing mechanism with a range of up to 10 metres. While not high-velocity, this feature should always be used with caution and protective eyewear. The tank is also equipped with an infrared emitter compatible with Heng Long's battle system, enabling simulated combat between up to 20 tanks. Hits are registered by sound and light, with a tank being temporarily disabled after five hits before restarting after ten seconds.
LED lights indicate standby and active modes, and flash when the tank is hit during IR battles. With 320 degrees of turret rotation, 30 degrees of cannon elevation and RTR (Ready to Run) convenience, this model is perfect for hobbyists of all experience levels. The Sherman arrives factory painted and includes additional cosmetic accessories to enhance scale authenticity.
A Brief History of the M4A3 Sherman
The M4 Sherman was the backbone of U.S. armoured forces during the Second World War, with the M4A3 being one of its most prominent variants. Powered by a Ford V8 engine and fitted with improved suspension and armour, the M4A3 offered better performance than earlier models. Widely used in both the European and Pacific theatres, the Sherman earned a reputation for reliability and ease of production. Though initially outmatched by heavier German tanks, its numbers, mobility and support made it a key contributor to Allied victory. The Sherman remains a symbol of American wartime ingenuity and industrial might. This RC replica faithfully captures its enduring presence in military history.
