 We're thrilled to introduce the Cobra 8, our next generation electronic speed controller (ESC) for surface applications. As the inaugural product in a new line, the Cobra 8 is engineered with cutting-edge technology tailored specifically for 1:8th scale vehicles weighing up to 15 lbs. 

The Cobra 8 boasts a state-of-the-art 32-bit, dual-core processor, ushering in a new era of precision and performance. Its enhanced data logging capabilities offer extended recording times, faster sampling rates, and a wealth of data points, enabling users to delve deeper into their vehicle's performance than ever before.

Crafted with a CNC aluminum bottom case, the Cobra 8 is engineered to endure the most rigorous conditions, ensuring reliability in every race or off-road adventure.

One of its defining features is our acclaimed CRYO-DRIVE™ technology, engineered to reduce operational temperatures, significantly prolonging the ESC's lifespan. Moreover, equipped with an impressive 8-amp BEC, the Cobra 8 can effortlessly power the most demanding servos, making it an indispensable ally in your high-performance setup.

We’ve packaged the Cobra 8 with three different Castle 4 -POLE 12-SLOT motor options to overpower a wide range of 1:8th scale vehicles, this combo includes a Castle 1515-2200Kv Sensored Motor. The 1515-2200KV combo is incredible in monster trucks with up to 6S LiPo packs (4S LiPo is the sweet spot), and works great in1:8 scale buggies, truggies and on-road vehicles as well as 1:10 scale monstertrucks weighing up to 15 lbs.

Product Use Statements: *Although the Cobra 8 ESC and Castle brushless motors are waterproof, they are not intended for operation while completely submerged in liquid. They can corrode when exposed to corrosive materials, such as salt water. Always rinse the ESC and motor with clean water after exposure to corrosives or dirt. While the motor and controller may be waterproof, we suggest users confirm that the rest of their vehicle, including the batteries, servos, radio and chassis are also waterproof before exposing them to liquids of any kind.
 
**The cooling fan must be removed prior to driving in wet conditions. It is not waterproof.

Water Resistant Design: The sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to protect the sensors from moisture. The sensor connections are not water resistant; water can cause signal loss which could result in loss of sensored capabilities. Castle recommended applying dielectric grease to the outside of the sensor wire connections after installation of the wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments.
