1721-1260kV    Ideal for 1/5 (select), 1/6 and 1/7 scale vehicles
Examples include: Arrma Kraton 8s/Outcast 8s/Limitless/Typhon/Infraction and Traxxas X-MAXX/XRT
Up to 25 lbs. ready-to-run

We are thrilled to announce the latest addition to our lineup of high-performance brushless motors for surface applications - the brand new 1721-1260Kv! This powerful and efficient motor is designed to deliver exceptional speed, torque, and acceleration, making it the perfect choice for serious large-scale bashers who demand nothing but the best. Built with precision-machined components, high-strength magnets, and advanced winding techniques, this motor is engineered to deliver reliable and consistent performance in even the most challenging conditions.

What makes this motor different than the other 17 series motors?  The 1721-1260kv is the “sane brother” to the 1721-2400kv. Where the 1721-2400kv is made for one thing, SPEED, the 1721-1260kv is built on the same platform, but at a more conventional Kv. It packs more punch and runs cooler than its baby brother the 1717-1260kv. This makes it the perfect moderate, yet powerful upgrade to the 1717 size motors that come stock in the Traxxas X- Maxx and Arrma 8s vehicles.

What ESC would you recommend?  After our internal testing, we unanimously concluded that the 1721-1260Kv is an excellent companion for the Mamba XLX2 and such we have already packaged the two together for purchase as a combo.

  • Running modes include SmartSense™ Sensored and an ultra-efficient Sensorless mode.
  • High-strength, high-temperature grade neodymium sintered magnets combined with High-strength Kevlar wrap ensures the integrity of the rotor is not compromised during harsh running conditions.
  • Oversized NMB bearings and vibration dampening system ensure the longest bearing life possible.
  • Our proprietary winding techniques allow us to produce a stator assembly that is the lowest possible resistance, resulting in a cooler running motor.
  • Updated modern and sleek design; looks as cool as it performs.

Without a robust and reliable design, efficiency will only go so far. RC enthusiasts love pushing their equipment to the edge. The Castle engineers know this and spared no expense when developing a design that could hold up to the harsh conditions that the RC community will throw at it, resulting in a cooler running motor.  In the end, the result is a motor with unmatched quality, performance, and reliability. We wouldn’t put our name on anything less.

Arrma Outcast 8s - 24 pinion/47 spur, up to 8s.
Tech Notes:

The 1721-1260Kv is a water resistant design. The sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to protect the sensors from moisture. The sensor connections are not water resistant; water can cause signal loss which could result in loss of sensored capabilities. We recommend applying dielectric grease to the outside of the sensor wire connections after installation of the wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after running in wet conditions. Please refer to this document for running and maintaining motors in wet environments.
