Incredible low weight, with a trick up its sleeve
Designed specifically to take drag racing to the next level. We have listened to what our drag race testers want, and also applied science, theory and real life testing to allow you to go FASTER. Much faster.
What's the secret? We bring over a lot of our experience from 220mph speed running, but also a long career in automotive design. We quickly recognized the need for not only lower weight, but also much better weigh distribution. The Progeny chassis puts one of the batteries IN FRONT of the front bulkhead. This massively changes the weight distribution. When static the front wheels see DOUBLE the load of the rear. Typically 4kg front, 2kg rear.
How does this help? Under hard acceleration there is a huge weight shift to the rear of the car. To stop the front wheels lifting and a loss of control, a wheelie bar is used. The wheelie bar STEALS grip from the driven wheels. Every gram of force the wheelie bar sees is a gram of down force taken away from the driven wheels - and 'drive' is what is all important. This chassis allows either no wheelie bar, or greatly reduced pre-load to be set on the wheelie bar. This means the driven wheels get more grip.
Does it work? Yes! Our testers have been prep racing this season and have reported great success, knocking 2 tenths of a second of their times, getting under 1.5 sec runs, winning races from the first time out on the chassis.

The chassis rises the front and rear diff housings by 9mm. This enables much improved arm and axle shaft angles, straightening out the axles to reduce load, friction and wear in the joints. Less twisted axles and more speed!
(Production version differs slightly from the prototype builds pictures - just small improvements. The silver 'high mass' splitter mount is not included in the production kit)
The main chassis plate weighs just 651g! By machining pockets throughout the chassis plates we have dramatically reduced the weight without sacrificing too much strength and also maintained good underbody aero and solid fixing points areas for the rear of the body.
SUITABLE FOR DELTA PLASTIC FORD FC100 BODY. Other bodies will likely work, but enough room for the front battery is required, so please check for yourself first.
300mm wide to suit all common 1/7th GT type bodies. Made from 4mm top quality Toray 3k carbon fibre, providing fantastic strength to weight ratio. Precision machined for a perfect fit and a high quality satin finish.
This chassis is pre-drilled - ready to go. NO EXTRA DRILLING OR CUTTING REQUIRED. Battery buckles and esc will screw straight in.
Droop screw positions have stainless steel tabs inserted to protect the carbon fibre.
This full length conversion kit enables the use of an Arrma rear diffuser. Arrma type wings like our batwing and SP wing will mount on the diffuser with the appropriate Arrma wing assembly parts.
