Product Description

1:16 Scale German Tauchpanzer III RC Tank

Dive into detailed RC warfare with the 1:16 scale German Tauchpanzer III, a distinctive and rare World War II variant faithfully recreated for RC enthusiasts. Fitted with the advanced TK7.0 multi-function control board (MFCB), this model provides full proportional control over acceleration, steering, turret traverse and gun elevation or depression, ensuring a highly immersive driving experience.

The Tauchpanzer III features programmable radio settings that allow precise adjustments to recoil strength, turning sensitivity, acceleration feel and driving speed mode. Whether operated in fast or slow mode, its omnidirectional control system ensures smooth responsiveness across varying terrain.

This model is equipped with durable tracks that are easy to service and can be upgraded to metal for enhanced durability. Independent suspension on all road wheels and a reliable steel-geared gearbox provide steady traction and power across uneven surfaces.

Sound and motion are brought to life with programmable track recoil, offering three levels of rearward shudder to simulate cannon fire. Four selectable sound sets include engine start-up, idle, acceleration, turret movement, elevation, machine gun fire, cannon blast and shutdown. Volume is adjustable through five settings, and the working smoke system emits a realistic glycerin-based exhaust effect.

For battle action, the tank can fire 6mm plastic BBs up to 10 metres. Although low in velocity and accuracy, this function should always be used with caution and protective eyewear. The tank is also infrared battle ready, compatible with Heng Long's IR system that enables simulated combat with up to 20 tanks. Each hit is marked with light and sound effects, and after five hits, the tank is temporarily disabled before automatically restarting after ten seconds.

Further enhancing realism, LED lights indicate active and standby modes, and flash when the tank is struck during IR battles. With 320 degrees of turret rotation and 30 degrees of cannon elevation, this RTR (Ready to Run) model arrives fully assembled, factory painted and complete with cosmetic accessories for added scale authenticity.

The Tauchpanzer III is a unique addition to any RC collection, ideal for those who appreciate lesser-known yet historically significant military vehicles.

A Brief History of the Tauchpanzer III

The Tauchpanzer III was a modified version of the Panzer III, developed by Germany for amphibious operations in preparation for Operation Sea Lion, the planned invasion of Britain. Equipped with waterproofed components and a snorkel system, it was designed to drive along the seabed beneath shallow coastal waters. Although Operation Sea Lion was never executed, Tauchpanzer IIIs were later deployed during the German invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941, used to cross rivers and perform special engineering tasks. As a rare and specialised variant, the Tauchpanzer remains a fascinating piece of military innovation. This RC model honours its unique role in armoured history with functional detail and realistic performance.
